seeing RED
This time of year, that well-worn expression could mean anything from slogging out from under the madness of holiday spending, to sending (or receiving) a luscious, red bouquet on Valentine's Day. Either way, red is always a welcome respite from the bland, gray days which surround many of us living in northern climates.
Layering a deep, rich, crimson red on your walls, saturates your space with color and life; as will adding just a touch of a vermillion inspired art, an accent fabric or accessory. Take a moment to revere red, and infuse its power and life into these remaining dreary days of winter.

origins of inspiration
Where do you find design and color inspiration?
Often I find the best sources are not decor based at all. I gather my vision for unique and fresh design from personal observation and photographs of persons, places and objects that I come upon in day-to-day life.

Say hello to fall and color
After making it through an excruciatingly hot, record breaking, drought ridden summer, we are finally experiencing the blissfully cool, active days and evenings of fall here in St. Louis. What St. Louis may lack in waterside activity and cool evening breezes over the summer months, we make up for in our quintessentially crisp, clear days during the change of season that surround our city in the fall. From the rallying cry of devoted Cardinal fans at the end of another perfect season of baseball to the launch of a kaleidoscope of color during the Forest Park Balloon race, the celebration of fall in St. Louis is extraordinary.
I hope these will inspire you to add that perfect, colorful update to your own interiors this fall season and beyond.
BOLD saturated BRIGHTS
Shades of GRAY and YELLOW
Happy fall to all,
Kim
