going green

Yet another glorious weekend in the Lou presented the perfect opportunity to write about that  quintessentially spring color, Green. Green is popping up everywhere this season from wallpaper and textiles to handbags and shoes. It's ever present position in all approaches to interior design is due to it's versatility and universal appeal, along with the ability to simultaneously bring livability and life to a design scheme.

Using green in bright, saturated tones brings a fresh, natural focal point and energy to otherwise streamlined and modern design schemes.

Classically speaking,  green can be a subtle and lovely semi-neutral background color.

Bringing green to the forefront of a color scheme infuses color into a room without overwhelming furnishings and traditional design elements.

This spring season, there is an abundance of exciting and fresh ways to bring green into design projects ranging from traditional, casual, modern or eclectic.
